Overhead tabletop shots are great for product demos, cooking shows or simply to add a more interesting viewing angle to your production. This can be difficult and time consuming to setup.

In this video, we’ll show you how to setup an overhead mirror rig using clamps and tubing which allows you to operate your camera from the ground using a stable tripod. This way you can do slight pans, tilts and zooms for added movement.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to flip the image for any text or logos that may appear on the objects in your frame. Although this can be achieved using a boom cradle and a monopod or even with a jib, this handy rig will save you plenty of time during your production.
